Step 1: Always Start Burning

Burning characters earn multiple levels per level-up during the event window — the single biggest multiplier in the game. With the summer update's "massive Burning Events," any new character (say, the brand-new Erel Light class launching June 17) should be created inside the burning window, full stop. Check which burning tier the event grants and plan your roster around it: mains burn to push, mules burn for Legion.

Step 2: Understand Challenger World

The returning Challenger World is GMS's accelerated-progression environment: boosted rates, structured reward tracks, and progression that feeds rewards back toward your standard world account. It is purpose-built for catching up — returning players and alt-account builders get end-game adjacency in a fraction of normal time. If your main world progress feels fossilized, Challenger is the reset button without abandoning your account.

Step 3: The Eternal Leveling Skeleton

Step 4: Legion and Links Are Leveling Infrastructure

Every leveled character accelerates the next one. Link skills (EXP links first), Legion attack/EXP bonuses, and shared event resources mean your fifth character levels several times faster than your first. Treat burning events as Legion-building season: three burned mules during one event can add thousands of Legion raid power.
