Free Fire OB55 New Weapons: M7, Skorp, RPK & Hawk Explained
By Sir Ayup 13 September 2026, 02:00 WIB
Free Fire's OB55 patch notes have revealed four brand-new weapons coming with the next Clash Squad season on October 1, 2026: the M7, Skorp, RPK, and Hawk.
The weapons were announced in the September 10 OB55 notes, but they are not live yet. Garena is holding them until October 1, when the next Clash Squad season begins alongside a broader weapon-class rebalance. They therefore need to be judged against the October meta, not the current one.
Here is what each new weapon does, where it will appear, and how it fits into Free Fire's October weapon meta.
When Do the New OB55 Weapons Release?
The four weapons arrive on October 1, 2026.
Garena's OB55 notes explicitly state that M7, Skorp, RPK, and Hawk will launch with the next Clash Squad season.
Players should not expect to find them in Battle Royale or Clash Squad before that date. October 1 is also when the wider weapon adjustments begin.
M7: High-Damage AR With Direct Recoil Control
The M7 is a fully automatic assault rifle designed for mid-to-long-range combat.
Its defining feature is a new recoil model.
Instead of relying mainly on Free Fire's existing bullet-spread behavior, the M7's aim steadily climbs upward while firing. Garena says players who control that recoil can maintain consistent shots, while players who understand the upward kick may even use it to help line up headshots.
The intended strengths are:
-
high damage
-
solid accuracy
-
strong mid-to-long-range performance
-
recoil that rewards active control
In Battle Royale, the M7 will be relatively uncommon.
Garena lists it as:
-
rare ground loot
-
available in high-tier blue zones
-
available in Arsenals
-
purchasable from Vending Machines for 400 FF Coins
-
limited to 5 Vending Machine purchases per match
In Clash Squad, the M7 costs 1600 CS Cash.
That price makes it a meaningful round investment rather than a cheap early buy. Garena is also buffing accuracy across several existing assault rifles on October 1, so the class as a whole is becoming more reliable at range.
Skorp: Fast SMG With Armor Penetration
The Skorp is the new close-range option.
Garena describes it as an SMG with:
-
high rate of fire
-
high armor penetration
-
a recoil system similar to the M7
The armor penetration is especially important because Garena specifically says it helps the Skorp remain effective into the late game.
That gives the weapon a slightly different identity from SMGs that rely mainly on mobility or raw fire rate.
The Skorp also has the broadest Battle Royale availability of the four.
On October 1, it can appear as:
-
regular ground loot
-
Weapon Rack loot
-
Vending Machine stock for 100 FF Coins
-
the default weapon after a Super Revival
Garena lists no Vending Machine purchase limit for the Skorp.
In Clash Squad, it costs 1500 CS Cash.
The Super Revival interaction could make Skorp especially common in Battle Royale, since returning players immediately receive a late-game-capable SMG.
RPK: LMG Power With AR-Like Mobility
The RPK is a new light machine gun that also uses the new recoil system.
Garena describes it as combining:
-
machine-gun firepower
-
assault-rifle-style mobility
-
close-range flexibility
-
better long-range accuracy when recoil is controlled
That makes the RPK sound more flexible than the traditional image of a heavy, stationary LMG.
It launches at the same time Garena is making machine guns more specialized around sustained fire, with major stat changes to the M249, M60, and Kord and a stronger emphasis on stable firing positions.
In Battle Royale, it will be available from:
-
ground loot
-
Weapon Racks
Unlike the M7, Skorp, and Hawk, Garena does not currently list the RPK in the October Vending Machine additions.
In Clash Squad, the RPK costs 1500 CS Cash.
That gives it the same CS price as the Skorp, but the two weapons fill completely different roles.
Hawk: Two-Shot Sniper With Burst Damage
The Hawk is the strangest weapon in the group.
It is a sniper rifle that carries only two rounds, but compensates with a high rate of fire and strong burst damage.
Garena says that landing both shots quickly can immediately take down enemies wearing low-tier armor.
The weapon also has a rising reticle when shots are fired rapidly, creating a recoil-like effect. That means the Hawk is not simply a normal sniper with a smaller magazine.
Its intended skill test is landing both shots before the reticle movement ruins the follow-up.
In Battle Royale, the Hawk will appear as:
-
ground loot
-
Weapon Rack loot
-
Vending Machine stock for 400 FF Coins
-
limited to 5 purchases per match
In Clash Squad, it costs 1700 CS Cash.
That makes the Hawk the most expensive of the four new weapons in CS. It also arrives while traditional sniper rifles are receiving mobility nerfs, reinforcing Garena's shift toward high-damage punishment rather than quick-peeking mobility.
New Weapon Prices in Clash Squad
The confirmed October 1 Clash Squad prices are:
-
M7 — 1600 CS Cash
-
Skorp — 1500 CS Cash
-
RPK — 1500 CS Cash
-
Hawk — 1700 CS Cash
For comparison, Garena is also reducing the AWM's Clash Squad price from 2200 to 2100 CS Cash. Skorp and RPK are the cheapest new entries, while Hawk carries the highest cost.
How the October Weapon Meta Is Changing
The four new weapons are only one part of the October 1 update.
Garena is widening the differences between weapon classes.
SMGs are becoming more mobile but generally shorter-ranged.
Assault rifles are gaining more reliable long-range accuracy while giving up some sustained pressure through reload adjustments.
Sniper rifles are becoming less mobile.
Marksman rifles are also losing movement speed.
Machine guns are becoming stronger sustained-fire weapons, especially when used from a more stable firing position.
This matters because each new gun lands directly inside one of those redesigned identities.
The M7 represents the more accurate, controllable AR direction.
The Skorp represents high-speed close-range pressure with armor penetration.
The RPK represents sustained automatic fire without giving up all mobility.
The Hawk represents high-burst sniping with a strict two-shot rhythm.
The four weapons therefore double as examples of Garena's new class identities.
Which New Weapon Looks Strongest?
Before October 1, any ranking is still theoretical.
The M7 looks like the safest all-round option because high damage and solid accuracy are useful in almost every match.
The Skorp may have the biggest immediate Battle Royale impact because it is easy to find, cheap from Vending Machines, and becomes the default weapon after Super Revival.
The RPK could become valuable for players who like sustained fire but do not want the heavy feel of older LMGs.
The Hawk has the highest skill ceiling of the group. If its two-shot burst is strong enough, it could punish exposed enemies extremely quickly, but missing either shot should be far more costly than missing a bullet from an automatic weapon.
Exact damage values, recoil strength, and real match performance still need to be tested once the weapons are playable, so any ranking before October 1 remains provisional.
