EA SPORTS FC Mobile's third anniversary lands on 24 September, alongside the new 27 Season Update — and the community gets to shape what's in it through player voting that opened on 4 September.

But there isn't one vote. There are three, they run on different dates, and their results arrive at different times. The retro soundtrack vote ran for just three days at the start of the month. If you assumed anniversary voting was a single window, you've likely already missed one.

The player vote is the main event

This is the one with the largest impact on your squad.

From a selection of over 100 players, you pick your top five across categories including the world's best players, breakthrough talents, regional stars and more. Those votes decide which Player Items make it into the Anniversary event.

That's a genuinely consequential vote rather than a cosmetic one. Anniversary Player Items in FC Mobile tend to be among the strongest cards of their window, and a community vote means the outcome is partly predictable — high-profile names from large fanbases have a structural advantage over regional stars, regardless of in-game utility.

Worth thinking about before you vote: whether you're voting for players you want to use, or players you expect to be good. Those aren't the same list, and the categories are broad enough that a strong item in a less popular category may be easier to actually obtain than a heavily-voted headline name.

Three votes, three timelines

The soundtrack votes are where the schedule gets confusing.

The retro soundtrack vote ran 1 – 3 September — a three-day window at the very start of the month, choosing which nostalgic track returns for the Anniversary event. The selected song joins the soundtrack on 24 September.

The FC 27 soundtrack vote opens 10 September, covering standout songs from the EA SPORTS FC 27 soundtrack. But its results don't arrive until 12 October — three weeks after the anniversary event itself goes live.

So the anniversary's content lands in two waves: everything except the FC 27 tracks on 24 September, and the FC 27 tracks in October.

The Limited Beta closes 13 September

Running alongside the voting is a Limited Beta available from 25 August to 13 September, previewing features headed for the game: Game Plans, Gauntlet Mode, and new PlayStyles.

That's a shorter window than the anniversary campaign, and it closes eleven days before the event goes live. If you want hands-on time with the new systems before the 27 Season Update arrives, the beta is the only route — and it's already more than halfway through.

The 27 Season Update shares the date

The third anniversary and the 27 Season Update both go live on 24 September.

That pairing matters for planning. A season update typically brings squad-wide rating recalculations, meta shifts and new content structures, while an anniversary event brings high-value limited items. Landing both on the same day means the environment your new anniversary players enter is also changing.

Practical consequence: don't over-invest in your current squad in the run-up. Coins and gems spent in mid-September are being spent against a meta that resets on the 24th.

• The anniversary event's rewards structure and how Player Items are obtained.
• What the 27 Season Update contains beyond its date.
• The closing date for player voting, beyond the results going live on 24 September.
• Whether kits, balls and boots designs feature this year as they have previously.
• Redeem codes or login campaigns tied to the anniversary.

What to do now

Vote in the player poll if you haven't. It opened 4 September and directly shapes what you can obtain later in the month.

Get into the Limited Beta before 13 September. It closes well before the anniversary, and it's the only preview of Game Plans, Gauntlet Mode and the new PlayStyles.

Note 10 September for the FC 27 soundtrack vote — and note that its results are an October matter, not a September one.

Bank your currency for 24 September. Two major content drops landing on one day is the wrong moment to arrive with an empty balance.

Don't chase current meta cards. With a season update on the same date as the anniversary, ratings and the wider meta are both about to move.
