The Clash of Clans Summer Jam Everything Quest is the grand finale of the Barbarian's Odyssey season, running July 22 to August 1, 2026 as the longest and most rewarding leg of the whole event — a full 10-day window where Gold, Elixir, and Dark Elixir upgrades are all discounted at once. Picture your entire builder crew working overtime as the Barbarian drags home a resource-stuffed beast: this is the week your upgrade queue was waiting for. Right now, though, the Unlimited Heroes window is still live through July 22, so this guide is built for both — Chiefs who want to squeeze the current hero event dry, and everyone planning the perfect Everything Quest push. Here is exactly what to upgrade, and in what order, to get maximum value before Summer Jam ends.

🗓️ Where We Are in Summer Jam Right Now

In plain terms: Summer Jam is split into weekly "Quest" legs, each boosting a different resource. We are in the back half, and the two most valuable windows are happening back-to-back.

  • Now through July 22 — Dark Elixir Quest + Unlimited Heroes: Dark Elixir upgrades are discounted, and crucially, all your Heroes stay usable while upgrading.
  • July 22 to August 1 — Everything Quest (the finale): Gold, Elixir, and Dark Elixir upgrades are all discounted simultaneously for 10 days.
  • Season wrap: the Barbarian's Odyssey season closes August 1, so any pass progress and Summer Jam medals need to be spent before then.

If you missed the earlier legs, our Elixir Quest (Week 2) deep dive and Week 3 upgrade priority guide cover how to have set yourself up for this finale.

⚔️ Unlimited Heroes — Use It Before July 22

The single most valuable mechanic active right now is the Unlimited Heroes event. Normally, upgrading a Hero benches them for the entire upgrade — a brutal tax when a single Hero upgrade can take a week or more. During this window, all Heroes remain available while upgrading, and their Equipment is boosted to max.

In plain terms: you can start every long Hero upgrade you have been dreading and keep attacking with those Heroes the whole time. There is no downside, so start them now.

  • Barbarian King, Archer Queen, Grand Warden, Royal Champion, Minion Prince — begin the longest upgrade on each Hero you can afford, in that order of battle impact.
  • Prioritize Heroes blocking Town Hall progression — if a Hero level gates your next Town Hall, start it first.
  • Don't leave a Hero idle. The whole point of the window is that upgrading costs you nothing in availability — an unused Hero this week is wasted value.
  • For accounts behind on Hero levels, this is comfortably the most valuable week of the entire Summer Jam.

🏆 Everything Quest — Why the Finale Is So Strong

The Everything Quest combines Gold, Elixir, and Dark Elixir progression into one broad push, applying the usual Summer Jam cost and time reductions across every Home Village upgrade at once. Because you are no longer forced to pick a single resource each week, this is where you clear whatever is left in your queue.

💰 Discount Structure by Town Hall

  • TH3 to TH16: a hefty 40% reduction in both upgrade time and upgrade cost.
  • TH17 to TH18: a 25% reduction in time and cost — smaller in percentage, but applied to enormous end-game upgrade prices, so the raw savings are massive.

In plain terms: lower Town Halls get the biggest percentage break, but even maxed-out TH18 Chiefs save a fortune of gold and elixir on their longest builds. Nobody should sit idle during this leg. The reason the finale is so strong is timing: because every previous week forced you to focus one resource, most players enter the Everything Quest with a backlog of mixed-resource upgrades they could not efficiently start earlier. This leg is where that backlog clears. Walk in with a plan for all five or six builders, a full set of storages, and a shortlist of what each builder will start the moment its current job finishes, and you will get more permanent progress in these ten days than in the previous three weeks combined.

💠 Gems, Books & Instant-Finish Items — When to Use Them

A discount week changes the math on your premium items. A Book of Building or a Hammer of Building completes an upgrade instantly regardless of cost, so you might think discounts do not matter for them — but the smart play is to save your instant-finishers for the longest, most expensive builds and let the discount handle everything else.

  • Books of Building / Hammers: spend on your single longest upgrade — usually a Hero level or a top-tier defense — so you skip the multi-day wait entirely while the discount pays for the mid-tier queue.
  • Gems for extra builders' time: if you gem a build during the finale, you are gemming a discounted price, which stretches each gem further than usual — a rare efficient window to spend a stash.
  • Runes of Gold/Elixir/Dark: pop a Rune right before starting a big upgrade to guarantee you can afford it at the reduced cost without a farming detour.
  • Don't gem trivial upgrades. Save premium resources for what actually blocks progression, not a Wall segment or a collector.

In plain terms: the discount does the heavy lifting on your normal queue; your Books, Hammers, and Gems are best aimed at the one or two builds too long to wait on.

📋 Everything Quest Upgrade Priority (Ordered)

With all three resources discounted, order your builders by impact per hour of build time. Follow this priority:

  1. Anything blocking your Town Hall upgrade. Nothing returns more long-term value than reaching the next Town Hall — clear its prerequisites first.
  2. Offensive core upgrades. Lab troops you actually use in war (your main army comp), spell levels, and Siege Machines. Damage wins wars and pushes trophies.
  3. Defensive rings that complete a set. Finish a full tier of a defense type (all Inferno Towers, all Eagle/Monolith upgrades) rather than scattering single levels — a complete ring is far stronger than four random half-upgrades.
  4. Dark Elixir troops and Heroes not covered by the Hero window — Dark barracks units and any remaining Hero levels.
  5. Walls last. Dump leftover Gold and Elixir into Walls at the very end; they are the classic "spend the overflow" upgrade and benefit from the cost cut.

🧱 Resource-by-Resource Game Plan

🟡 Gold

Gold funds defenses and Walls. Use the finale to complete defensive rings and finish any Town Hall-gating defensive buildings. Keep your storages from capping — a full storage during a discount week is pure waste, so always have a Gold sink running.

🟣 Elixir

Elixir drives your Laboratory and elixir troops. Prioritize war-relevant troop and spell upgrades in the Lab, since the Lab is single-threaded and every discounted day counts. Line up your next Lab research to start the instant the current one finishes.

⚫ Dark Elixir

Dark Elixir feeds Heroes and Dark troops. Between the earlier Dark Elixir Quest and this finale, funnel it into Hero levels and your Dark troop of choice. Raid Medals and the season shop can top up any Dark shortfall.

🛡️ Town Hall-Specific Advice

  • TH13 to TH16 (biggest % break): you are getting the full 40% cut — be aggressive. Start your most expensive Lab and defense upgrades now; you may never see a better discount before Town Hall progression.
  • TH17: focus on completing your offensive core and the first ring of new TH17 defenses. The 25% cut on these large prices is enormous in raw resources.
  • TH18 (current cap): with less to chase, target quality-of-life maxing — final defense levels, remaining Hero equipment, and Wall completion. Use the Hero window aggressively since your Hero upgrades are the longest in the game.

💎 Getting the Resources to Spend

A discount only helps if you have resources to burn. Maximize income during the finale:

  • Farm actively with a cheap, fast army (Barch, Super Miners, or Sneaky Goblins) to keep storages topped up between upgrades.
  • Clear Clan Games and season challenges for the Barbarian's Odyssey pass rewards before August 1.
  • Spend Raid Medals from Clan Capital raids on Hammers and resources to accelerate the priciest builds.
  • Don't hoard the season currency — spend all Summer Jam medals and pass tiers before the season resets.

🐗 Best Farming Armies to Fund the Finale

Discounts are only half the equation — you still need a steady flood of loot to spend. During the Everything Quest, run cheap, fast, high-loot armies so your storages refill faster than your builders drain them.

  • Sneaky Goblins: the gold standard for pure resource raids. Goblins prioritize storages and collectors, and with the Everything Quest boosting all three resources, a few Goblin runs top up Gold and Elixir in minutes.
  • Super Miners / Super Archers: strong all-around loot armies at higher Town Halls that can also snag Dark Elixir from storages.
  • Barch (Barbarians + Archers): the cheapest, fastest army in the game for lower Town Halls — near-free to retrain, so you can chain raids nonstop.
  • Super Hog / Super Miner Dark farming: when you specifically need Dark Elixir for Heroes, target Dark storages with a dedicated comp.

In plain terms: match your army to what you are short on. Need Gold for defenses? Goblins. Need Dark for Heroes? Hit Dark storages. Keep the loot flowing so no builder ever sits idle.

⚔️ Don't Forget War, Clan Games & Capital

The finale week is also a chance to bank rewards from the game's other systems, all of which feed your u
