🔫 New Weapon: The SKS Sniper Rifle
The SKS arrives to redefine medium-to-long-range combat. While traditionally a semi-automatic marksman rifle, the SKS features a unique BAS Exclusive Accessory: The Bump-Fire Stock.
-
Mechanic: The Bump-Fire Stock utilizes recoil to achieve a rapid reset, effectively turning single taps into fully automatic fire.
-
Tactical Advantage: This allows the SKS to maintain its high single-shot damage while boasting the fire rate of an assault rifle in close-quarters combat. Unlock it through the Velvetopia Strike Pass.
⚖️ Weapon & Striker Adjustments
The May 15 update brings significant balance shifts to the current meta:
Weapon Buffs & Nerfs:
-
SCAR & QBZ95: Both received damage buffs to chest and limb shots to improve consistency.
-
Bizon: Damage increased, and the 32-round R.I.P drum now adds +5 health damage while removing recoil penalties.
-
UMP45 & AUG: Received damage nerfs to headshots and abdominal shots to balance their dominance.
-
AR97: Close-range damage significantly reduced to prevent it from outclassing SMGs in buildings, though its long-range performance remains elite.
Striker Updates:
-
JACK: His "Jack-in-the-Box" skill is now faster to deploy. Additionally, sliding into the box will now launch you further, enhancing mobility.
-
ALONDRA: New voice lines have been added for a more immersive experience.
🏖️ Skyline Beach Map Optimizations
The developers have listened to community feedback regarding the tempo of Skyline Beach:
-
Final Circle Balance: The final safe zone now moves a shorter distance, and the shrinking speed has been adjusted to prevent forced long-range rotations into the toxic zone.
-
Solo Mode Respawn: Respawn times in the mid-to-late game for Solo matches have been reduced to keep the combat intensity high.
🎫 Velvetopia Strike Pass & Future Drops
Launching on May 15, the "Velvetopia" Strike Pass offers a dream-like animal metropolis theme.
-
Key Rewards: [Galil - Frosthowl] Ultra Skin, [RAN - Fuzzytale] Ultra Striker Skin, and the Legendary [SKS - Rising Sun].
-
Upcoming Drops: Watch out for the [M1887 - Destroyer] EVO skin on May 22 and the [HANK - Doom] Eternal-Class skin on May 29.
