The tactical extraction landscape has been forever changed! MoreFun Studios has officially launched the Season 5: Distortion Update for Arena Breakout: Infinite, bringing an atmospheric shift that challenges everything you know about Kamona. This major update introduces anomaly-themed mechanics that blur the line between reality and the supernatural, alongside a suite of competitive and cooperative modes designed to test even the most veteran mercenaries. Whether you are navigating the reality-warping chimes of the Valley or engaging in high-stakes solo PvE raids, this comprehensive breakdown covers the essential tactical shifts you need to master.
🌀 New Mode: The Distorted Valley
The centerpiece of the Season 5 Update is the Distorted Valley. In this new map mechanism, anomalies have seized control of the environment. The battlefield is governed by rhythmic bell rings; every time the bell tolls, the environment shifts in unpredictable ways, forcing players to adapt their strategies mid-raid. Before dropping in, players can now choose specific abilities to help them navigate these anomalies. Survival in the Distorted Valley requires more than just high-tier armor—it demands constant alertness to the changing rules of reality.
🔫 New Weapons and Combat Balancing
Season 5 expands the armory with highly requested firearms and tactical gear. The FAMAS and T192 have been added to the loot pool, offering new modular options for mid-to-long-range engagements. Additionally, the Downed Emergency Smoke Grenade has been introduced, providing a vital defensive tool for squads attempting to extract downed teammates under fire.
More importantly, the update brings significant rebalancing to high-tier gear. Red ammo and armor have been adjusted based on extensive community feedback to ensure a fairer combat environment. Jump shot animations have also been improved for realism, and the highly anticipated 3D Proximity Chat is now live, allowing for immersive tactical communication (or psychological warfare) with nearby enemies and allies alike.
🛡️ PvE and Competitive Gameplay Events
For the first time, Arena Breakout: Infinite introduces a dedicated solo/single-squad PvE experience.
-
No Man's Land: This pure PvE mode rotates between the Farm, Valley, and TV Station maps. It requires special tickets for entry and features fixed loadouts, making it the perfect training ground for mastering map layouts without the threat of player-controlled hostile squads.
-
Warlord Tournament: Exclusive to the TV Station, this 5-team ranked battle measures success by loot value. Raiders can view all opposing teams' gear upon entering the raid, setting the stage for high-stakes tactical planning.
-
Boss Rally: Activated on Northridge and Farm, this mode spawns multiple bosses simultaneously, accompanied by enhanced guards and upgraded equipment for the ultimate combat test.
🎁 Launch Rewards and Initiatives
To celebrate the update, players can claim exclusive rewards through various launch events. This season offers 60 Supply Pass points and 225 Coins, alongside new weapon skins for the AEK, Vector45, and an exclusive AK47N available via Twitch Drops. The community is also invited to participate in the S5 Creator Challenge and the Distortion Global Showmatch, featuring top streamers like LVNDMARK and Recrent.
