MLBB Map Overhaul: Golden Turret, Healing Turtle & More

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is rolling out a set of new map mechanics starting September 28, 2026. Rather than adding all of them permanently at once, Moonton is introducing four different map-changing effects that rotate randomly — only one shows up per match, keeping games feeling fresh without stacking every new mechanic on top of each other.

One random map change per match

The key thing to understand before jumping into the details: these four mechanics don't all run at the same time. Each match applies just one of the four at random, so you won't know which map twist you're getting until you're in the game. That means adapting your draft and in-game strategy to whichever effect shows up becomes part of the match itself.

Golden Turret

Golden Turret changes the risk-reward math around destroying towers:

• Team Gold from destroying a Turret is significantly increased.
• HP of Inner and Base Turrets is also slightly increased to balance out the bigger payout.

In practice, this makes turret trades more valuable but also slightly harder to force, since the extra HP buys defenders a bit more time.

Healing Turtle

Healing Turtle changes where and how the game's healing objective behaves:

• The Turtle spawns in the lane with the strongest enemy minion wave, pulling the objective toward whichever lane is under the most pressure.
• A companion Turtle effect can be granted to up to 3 heroes at once, though each hero can only receive one companion Turtle.
• The companion Turtle automatically deals heavy damage to any Turret within its range, turning the objective into an indirect siege tool rather than just a sustain buff.

Revealing Wisps

Revealing Wisps adds a new pickable vision item scattered across the map:

• Vision Wisps can be picked up from various locations across the map.
• After picking one up, the wisp circles around your hero for several seconds.
• If hidden enemy heroes are within a large range, the wisp automatically moves toward their location and reveals them for several seconds — giving it real value for catching enemies trying to flank or gank from brush.

Flying Cloud

Flying Cloud is framed differently from the other three — rather than a new gameplay mechanic, it's described as an all-new visual upgrade to the map's existing Flying Cloud element. Expect the same core Flying Cloud you're used to, just visually refreshed.
